Bio

Michael Koolidge is an Operation Iraqi Freedom/Global War on Terrorism veteran. He served six years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a cavalry and adjutant general officer, achieving the rank of captain.

Mike's Army service took him through the hills of Kentucky, the parachute drop zones of Georgia, the swamps of Louisiana, the sands and mountains of the Mojave Desert, the windy city of Chicago, and finally to the combat zone of Kuwait and Iraq. He has a bachelor's degree in political science from Boston University and a master's degree in communication from Northwestern University. He also studied improvisation, writing and acting at The Second City Training Center in Chicago and has performed in dozens of theater productions.

The Michael Koolidge Show was the first daily radio talk show in the nation hosted by a young military veteran of the current Global War on Terror. Mike has appeared as a guest on numerous programs including WGN Radio's Extension 720 with Milt Rosenberg, The Spike O'Dell Radio Program, Lars Larson, and The Rusty Humphries Show. He also regularly guest-hosts AM 560 WIND Chicago's The Guy Benson Show. Michael is a lifelong Jets and Mets fan but roots just as passionately for the Bulls and Blackhawks. Mike and his wife Joan live happily together in Illinois, where they've each resided since before the turn of the century.

"It was interesting, and I liked your interview style. Direct, polite, curious. You give me hope that there can be civilized interview shows with a host who is clear about his position but curious to investigate and learn from other points of view. Pretty cool." -from a listener e-mail ("Mary-Terese")
